“Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.” Zechariah 8: 22.

Christian pilgrims from seven states and the Federal Capital Territory in Nigeria today ended their seven day journey and received certificates that qualify them to bear the title Jerusalem Pilgrim, JP.

The pilgrims drawn from Benue, Nasarawa, Kogi, Taraba, Adamawa, Plateau, Delta, as well as the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, arrived the Ben Gurion Airport, Israel, last Saturday.

The closing ceremony took place simultaneously at several venues including the Tabar Hotel in Nazareth.
The Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, NCPC, coordinated the pilgrimage.

The participants visited 46 sites in the Holy Land and offered prayers on various topics for Nigeria, their states, and personal matters.

In the last two days they toured sites in Nazareth, Mount Tabor, Cana of Galilee, Capernaum, Tabgha, Mount of Beatitudes, the Sea of Galilee as well as River Jordan.

Rev Father Imojime gets items for team members

Bus captains who gave testimonies about their team members and guides were given the certificates and badges to give their members.

Reverend Father Titus Imojime, a captain of one of the buses, was among those who received the items for their team members.

A member of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Alphonsus Avine Agbom, received a souvenir for Governor Samuel Ortom from one of the tour coordinators, Tabar Tours, who expressed appreciation for patronage from Benue and the other states.

Hon. Agbom commended the Governor for giving attention to spiritual things by sponsoring pilgrims’ in spite of security and financial challenges in the state.

He said with concerted prayers the state would triumph over all its challenges and accelerate its pace of development.
