Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom this evening paid a condolence visit to the family of former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Aloysius Iyorgyer Katsina-Alu in Abuja.
The Governor was accompanied on the visit by Senator Barnabas Gemade, Chief JKN Waku, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Anthony Ijohor, SAN, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Terwase Orbunde, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Michael Gusa and immediate past Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. James Anbua.
Others were Chief of Staff to the former Governor, Professor Saint Gbilekaa and Professor Gerald Igyor.
Governor Ortom who commiserated with the Katsina-Alu family, said they should take solace in the fact that the renowed jurist lived an exemplary life.
The Governor gave assurance that the late Chief Justice would be given a burial befitting an elder statesman.
Responding, the eldest son of the late Justice Katsina-Alu, Mr Eric Ter Alu, thanked Governor Ortom for identifying with the family in its time of grief, describing the visit as consoling.
