The attention of the Secretary to the Benue State Government, Professor Anthony Ijohor, SAN, has been drawn to comments on the social media questioning his loyalty to his principal, Governor Samuel Ortom.
The comments arose from the SSG’s funeral oration at the burial of the late William Mozeh, former Registrar of the Benue State University.
Professor Ijohor wishes to state categorically that he is 100 per cent loyal to Governor Samuel Ortom and his administration.
He states that any statement or comment to the contrary should be disregarded.
The SSG wishes to also state that he is loyal to his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He draws attention to the fact that a few days ago, he publicly decamped with over 3,000 former APC members from Ipav District of Gboko local government area, into PDP.
Professor Ijohor reiterates that he stands by his decamping and remains totally committed to Governor Ortom’s reelection and victory of all PDP candidates at the 2019 General Election.
He wishes to inform the general public that he and Governor Ortom have known themselves since 1970 when they were enrolled into the same primary school on the same day and have since maintained an uninterrupted close relationship.
The SSG states that anyone who thinks that he could jeopardize the 48-year relationship for whatever reason belongs to a psychiatric institution or is liquor induced.
