Nigeria’s male and female Volleyball national teams have qualified for the semi-finals of the International Beach Volleyball (IBV) tournament in Yaoundé, Cameroon, reports.
Nigeria’s male team defeated DR Congo 21-9, 21-7 to qualify for the semi-finals while the female team outclassed Central African Republic in their quarter-final match  21-12 and 21-12 to qualify for the semi-finals billed for Saturday (today).
In a media statement made available to, the coach of the teams, Imoudu Francis expressed happiness and satisfaction on the results of the teams and equally implored Nigerians to support them in their quest to scale through the semi finals hurdles, to reach the finals.
“It was a great outing so far from the teams and their business-like approach is highly commendable,” Imoudu told the Nigerian Volleyball Federation media department.
Nigeria’s male team will face Cameroon in the semi final later this evening (Saturday), while the women will also battle Cameroon as well also in the semi-finals of the ongoing International Beach Volleyball (IBV) tournament.
