IMO DROPS NON-INDIGENES FROM ITS FREE EDUCATION PROGRAMME

The Imo State government has placed a restriction on non-indigenes from enjoying it’s free education, especially in its university and other state owned tertiary Institutions in the State.

The government stated that since the commencement of the programme more than five years ago, the state hasnt enjoyed similar gesture from other states.

The state government has already commenced the verification of students in Imo State University and other State owned tertiary Institutions in the State adding that the verification exercise is aimed at making sure that bonafide indigenes of the state are identified to enable them continue to enjoy the free education programme that has become, not only a success story but somewhat a revolution.

The verification exercise is being coordinated by the secretary to the state government, Sir George Eche due to his honesty and integrity. #ImoState
