The Emir of Gusau in Zamfara state, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello at the weekend conferred a traditional title of ‘Sabbeni’ Gusau on the Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Mr. Edward Obassi.
Conferring the title at his palace, the Emir said the development was a great to the done to the Speaker by the emirate.
He explained that the turbaning of an Igbo was quite significant and an indication of peaceful interaction with the Igbos in the state.
He urged the Speaker to use his position in promoting peaceful coexistence amongst the various ethnic groups in the country.
He , however, lauded lawmakers for collaboration with the executives in the policy execution.
