Ekiti state governor, chief Ayodele Fayose has signed the 2018 supplementary budget of over nine billion naira into law.
The state house of assembly had on Thursday approved the revised appropriation bill during its plenary on the request of the governor.
Addressing newsmen during the signing of the budget at the ESCOS’s chamber in the governor’s office in Ado Ekiti, chief Fayose said the development was not for his personal gain as being speculated in some quarters.
He emphasised that the need to further impact on the lives of the people of the state informed the supplementary budget.
The governor maintained that the move was to improve on infrastructures and areas of economy which required financial upgrowth for the benefit of the state.
