By Johnny Edward: Al Ahly manager Hossam El Badry has dropped Jigger Ian forward, Junior Ajayi, from his squad to face Petrojet in the Egyptian Premier League fixture today (Friday) over new foreign player rule, reports.

Ajayi has scored three goals in 11 Egyptian Premier League games so far this season.

According to a report on, Ajayi was left out of the squad by El Badry due to the new Egyptian foreign quota rule by the Egyptian FA, which permits only three non Egyptian players in a match day squad.

Sherif Ekramy, Saleh Gomaa, Mo’men Zakaria, and Hesham Mohamed were also excluded from the squad through injury while Mido Gaber and Rami Rabia, who has missed Al Ahly’s last 10 games through injury were included in the team.

The Red Devils currently sit in second place with 30 points from 13 games, while Petrojet sit in 11th place with 17 points from 15 games.
